FAQs
Frequently asked questions, to help you understand your options
when you are seeking legal advice.
How much does it cost to hire a lawyer?
Our goal is to lessen your financial burden, not increase it. We offer a free consultation, so you can learn more about the process and then decide if hiring a lawyer is right for you.
How involved will I be in my case?
It is important that lawyers get to know their clients and that clients learn about the legal process. A close working relationship between the client and his or her lawyer always leads to a better result. A client is in control of the process and can be as involved as they want to be.
How informed will I be?
One of the major complaints that people have about lawyers is that they do not keep their clients fully informed about the process, and often do not return phone calls and emails in a reasonable time frame. Your potential lawyer should have a policy where he or she keeps in regular communication. If your lawyer does not have such a policy, keeping you informed may not be a priority, and you should be cautious of working with that firm.
How long will my claim take?
The length of the process will depend on the complexity of the case and the cooperation of the other party and any witnesses. During your free initial consultation, we can provide a rough time estimate for your case that can be regularly updated.
Who else will I be in contact with at Lambert Law?
Although your case is always overseen by Mr. Lambert, he works in conjunction with at least one staff member on each file. It is important for you to get to know the staff member and it is important for them to get to know you.
